GCWR is the most the loaded vehicle and loaded trailer may weigh together. Small numbers are Chevrolet's footnotes, listed below.

Notes from Chevrolet

  • Trailer tongue weight should be 10% to 15% of total loaded trailer weight (up to 770 lbs.). Addition of trailer tongue weight must not cause vehicle weights to exceed Rear Gross Axle Weight Rating (RGAWR) or Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR).

The tongue weight Chevrolet lists is a maximum; work out your trailer's actual tongue weight with the tongue weight calculator and keep it under that figure.

Check your own tow

The maximum assumes a lightly loaded vehicle. Passengers, cargo and tongue weight all come out of your payload. Run your trailer through the calculator with this vehicle's limits filled in:

  1. 1 Maximum trailering ratings are intended for comparison purposes only. Before you buy a vehicle or use it for trailering, carefully review the Trailering section of the Owner’s Manual. The trailering capacity of your specific vehicle may vary. The weight of passengers, cargo and options or accessories may reduce the amount you can trailer.
  2. 3 Requires available accessory trailer hitch and trailer wiring harness.
